AWARD-winning Scottish seafood restaurant, Mussel Inn, is inviting diners to join in its tenth birthday celebrations by giving away a free slice of birthday cake and glass of bubbly on the evening of Friday 6 May and all day Saturday 7 May.

Matt Johansson, food and beverage manager at Mussel Inn, said: “Reaching the grand old age of ten is something of an achievement in the fast-changing restaurant trade, so this is our way of thanking our many customers for their support over the years.

“After all, it’s they who have made the Mussel Inn something of an institution on Glasgow’s dining scene this last decade so what better way than to celebrate a significant birthday than with our customers?”

In addition to birthday cake and bubbly, diners at Mussel Inn on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 May can select from a menu featuring starters of: creamy seafood chowder; fresh soup of the day; grilled queenies; fish cakes; crab salad; goats cheese and prawn tempura.

Mains include a selection of grilled mussel and queen scallop platters, chilled and grilled oysters, shellfish pasta, tiger prawns, kilo pots of mussels, king scallops, hot seafood platter and grilled sea bass fillet. In addition to seafood, Mussel Inn offers vegetarian and meat options.
