Media Release: Morris & Spottiswood construction workers down tools for a cuppa… of pomegranate tea

CONSTRUCTION workers at Scottish fit-out, housing and maintenance specialists, Morris & Spottiswood, did without their usual pie chips and beans today for a healthy serving of pomegranate tea and oat cakes.

Over 130 employees and subcontractors working with Morris & Spottiswood on a live site will be treated to complimentary bags of ‘Mood Food’ as part of the firm’s efforts in retaining the ‘Healthy Working Lives’ bronze status, whilst aiming at taking the next step towards silver.

Initiatives like these are aimed at encouraging employees to follow a good nutrition programme as a means of reducing stress, increasing happiness, focus and energy.

Morris & Spottiswood’s health & safety director, Douglas McGlade, believes there is a powerful link between nutrition, mood and how natural food and healthy snacking can be directed to help ensure happier, healthier and more productive lifestyles at work.
