Media Release: Transform your business at Inverness workshop

HIGHLANDS and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is holding a free workshop in Inverness to give business people the skills they need to transform their businesses and succeed.

The workshop will be at the Kingsmills Hotel on Thursday May 1 at 11am to 3pm and will include lunch.

Key speakers are: Dr Jim Hamill, head of marketing for Strathclyde University; John Mackenzie, business transformation manager at HIE; David Sim, Open Brolly project director; and Eric Cordiner, Pinnacle Solutions, managing director of Pinnacle Business Solutions in Nairn.

The focus on the day will be on creating a vision of the future of their company to help their business grow. The event recognises the need to combine innovative thinking and encourage companies to exploit new business technologies and procedures.

John Mackenzie of HIE’s enterprising solutions team, said: “We want to encourage businesses to transform their attitudes and mindsets to adopt new approaches to continuous business improvement and to give confidence in the use of technologies.

“The workshop gives us the opportunity to talk about a number of business transformation programmes that are currently running and the benefits that can be derived from new companies keen to undertake all or part of these programmes.

“The focus on the day will very much be on business first – technology second.”
