Media Release: Beanscene declares live intent at Indian Summer festival

BEANSCENE coffee and music houses is to host and curate its own tent at this year’s Indian Summer weekender music festival at Victoria Park in Glasgow’s West End on the 14th and 15th July.

As well as providing an in-tent version of Beanscene’s chilled in-store vibe, with the same high level of customer service, attention to detail and familiar range of favourite hot drinks, soft drinks, coolers, panini and muffins – even its renowned comfy sofas – the Beanscene Tent will feature a range of live performances from the pick of the crop of acoustic music artists from its own in-store circuit.

Gordon Richardson, Beanscene founder, said: “The Indian Summer weekender shares the same ethos as Beanscene – an opportunity to access some breaking music that you might not have discovered otherwise in a comfortable, laid-back environment – so bringing the two together makes perfect sense.

“After all, Beanscene is a state of mind, somewhere to kick back, relax and take life in on its most simple and enjoyable level; the simple concept of coffee, music and conversation – for all the family. Our customers can now enjoy that experience in-tent at Scotland’s best music festival.”

And Beanscene is running a competition to give its customers a chance to win four pairs of tickets to Indian Summer. To enter, all you have to do is complete a comment card at any one of Beanscene’s 14 stores throughout Scotland and hand it in to the bar. All cards will be entered into a prize draw. Competition entries must be received by Sunday 8th July, with winners announced the following day.

Artists appearing at the Beanscene Tent at Indian Summer include: Endrick Brothers; Hazey Janes; Quinn; Yellow Bentines; Sundancer; Subrosa; Grant Campbell; Anna Meldrum and John Hamilton.

Evoking the coffee culture promoted through the coffee houses of ‘60’s Soho, London, Greenwich Village, NYC and the Italian quarter of San Francisco, Beanscene offers a simple, loungy and highly customer focused environment which is both cool and accessible.
