Media Release: EastEnders’ star will be model presenter at Braehead

EASTENDERS character, Mickey Miller, will be on the lookout for the next top teenage model when he comes to Braehead.

For actor Joe Swash – who played the part of Miller – is hosting the Sugar magazine roadshow at the shopping centre on Friday, October 17 between 1pm and 3pm when Scots teenage girls can enter the Sugar Sure Girl model competition.

There will also be performances from pop artistes Natalia, Avenue and Billiam during the Braehead roadshow.

This is just one of the many free events at Braehead during the October school week holiday.

Hallowe’en craft activities – making batty finger puppets, witches hats, pumpkin masks and Hallowe’en cards – are being staged in the central atrium between Monday October 13 and Thursday October 16, noon to 4pm.

There will also be children entertainment in the form of balloon modellers, face painting and a magician in the west mall from Thursday October 16 to Sunday October19.

Braehead’s marketing manager, Lydia Young, said: “Kids can have a great time at Braehead over the school holidays as we’ve got everything from soap stars to pop bands and craft workshops.”
