THE first in a series of free business clinics, providing practical advice for local firms throughout the Highlands and Islands, takes place in Kirkwall next week (Wednesday, February 4).
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) has organised the clinics as part of its package of measures to help the region’s businesses address the current economic downturn.
Locations for future clinics have been confirmed across the region, including Lerwick, Benbecula, Stornoway, Thurso, Portree, Oban, Tain Inverness, Fort William, Elgin, Ullapool, Dunoon and Campbeltown.
Experts from HIE and partner organisations will deliver advice and answer questions on a vast range of business issues.
Each clinic will run from 3pm until 7pm.
Any concerns which require follow-up investigation will be answered after the clinic by telephone or email.
Information videos will run throughout the events featuring advice on issues such as tax changes, opportunities in a crisis and raising finance.
HIE is already operating a free advice line for all the region’s businesses on 08000 884 884. Lines are open from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday and from 9am until 1pm on Saturdays. For a full list of events in your area, please visit the HIE website, www.hie.co.uk
