Media Release: Teesport promotes PortCentric Logistics to Scottish industry

PD Ports, owner of Teesport in north-east England, is running a seminar in Glasgow to promote the advantages of the port and its ‘PortCentric logistics’ concept to Scottish businesses.

The event is being supported by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the United Kingdom Warehouse Keepers Association.

Says a spokesperson: “PD Ports is a pioneer of the PortCentric concept in the UK – both ASDA and Tesco have already been convinced of its benefits and have built import centres at Teesport. ASDA calculates that its 2005 decision to develop a 350,000 sq ft facility at Teesport has already reduced its UK road travel by two million miles.”
