STEVENSON College Edinburgh photography student, Jim Carroll, has won the First ScotRail Student Photographer of the Year Award 2008, with six action shots taken in Scotland.
Mr Carroll, an ex-policeman who retired in 2002 after 30 years of service, always wanted to be a photographer.
