Media Release: Alienation Digital’s recession-busting start to the year

ALIENATION Digital, the Glasgow-based web design and online marketing specialist, has announced its best ever start to the year.

Managing director, Neil Barr, revealed that turnover has increased 100 per cent on last year and he is still recruiting after increasing staff by a third from nine to 12.

He said: “Despite the recession we achieved our full-year sales targets in the first six months of 2009, and with margins holding up well we are on course for an excellent year.

“The market is really tough and the competition is intense, but we are winning business from both public and private sector clients by ensuring they see a real return on their investment, and that’s crucial in the digital world.”

Already this year, Alienation Digital has achieved major contract wins from Maclay Inns, Business and Enterprise North East, Scottish Social Services Council and the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care.

As a celebration of its success, Alienation recently announced that the whole agency would be made available for free for a day to charities.

Following a response from 200 charities from the UK and abroad the company has extended the offer to include a day plus two seminars which will be held in September, one in Glasgow and one in London.

Successful applicants will be notified over the next few weeks.
