Media Release: Midlothian venue for NHS Lothian board meeting

NHS Lothian’s next board meeting is set to take place in Mayfield, Dalkeith, on 27 January, as part of its ongoing commitment to hold board meetings in different parts of Lothian.

Board meetings are open to members of the public so they can hear more about health services in Lothian.

Charles Winstanley, chair, NHS Lothian, said: “We made a commitment to hold our board meetings, which are open to the public, in different parts of Lothian. This allows local communities the opportunity to hear at first hand about the latest healthcare developments which directly affect them.”

Prior to the formal board meeting on 27 January, there will be an open session on developments and health services from Midlothian Community Health Partnership (CHP) with the opportunity to put questions to the CHP’s general manager and clinical director.

Gerry Power, general manager of Midlothian Community Health Partnership, NHS Lothian, said: “We are delighted that the board meeting is taking place in Midlothian, enabling members of the local community to find out the most up-to-date position on our healthcare services.

“We will be giving a presentation providing details on some of our forthcoming developments such as Midlothian Community Hospital and Dalkeith Medical Centre, which will be followed by a question and answer session for members of the public.”

Board papers are available at each board meeting and on our website from the day of the meeting at www.nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk
