Media Release: Growth of TAQA is focus of IoD Aberdeen

LEO Koot, managing director of TAQA Bratani, is the speaker at the first IoD networking lunch of 2010 on Tuesday (January 26).

Mr Koot has led the transition of four major North Sea assets into the TAQA portfolio. In the process, he has taken the company from a small office with seven personnel to a purpose-built headquarters in Aberdeen, with 800 people employed either directly or indirectly.

Commenting on the lunch, Ken McEwen, chair of IoD Aberdeen, said:

“In the past year, we have had a number of speakers who have demonstrated very clearly that there are still tremendous business opportunities in the oil and gas industry in Aberdeen.

“The story of growth that we will hear from Leo Koot of TAQA Bratani, will underline the similar messages we have had over the past 12 months from other oil industry leaders, including Tom Cross of Dana Petroleum, Rob Buchan of GDF Suez and Allister Langlands of the Wood Group.”

As with the previous lunches, this session Tuesday’s lunch is fully booked.
