Media Release: Alienation Digital co-hosts hospitality seminar

ALIENATION Digital and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce have joined forces to host a seminar urging the city’s hospitality industry not to wait until 2014.

Neil Barr, MD of Alienation Digital, said: “The Commonwealth Games will be one of the greatest events in Glasgow’s history, but postponing key investment decisions until then could cost the city a fortune in lost revenues.”

“Our seminar will remind hoteliers and others in the leisure industry that they stand to miss out big time if they don’t attend to the basics like maximising the potential of their websites in the four years between now and the Games.”

The Chamber’s commercial director, Richard Muir, said: “Our message to everyone in the hospitality industry is don’t wait for 2014 to market yourself to those visiting Glasgow as a major cultural destination.”

“The event is designed to help attendees make the most of their brand, their digital marketing strategy, their social media, and ultimately grow their bottom line.”

The speakers include Tim Sandford of Market Transformations, Dr Jim Hamill of Hamill Associates, Simon Bennison of Alienation Digital, Andrew Stevenson and David Whyte of Tangent Graphic.

The Why Wait for 2014 seminar will be held in Glasgow’s Blythswood Square Hotel on the 16th of March.
