LINK Group is fully committed to contributing to the Scottish Government’s wide ranging consultation about housing policy reform, following the launch today (24 May 2010) of the Government’s discussion document, ‘Housing: Fresh Thinking, New Ideas’.
Says a spokesperson: “Link plans to involve its many stakeholders and partners in its response. It will work closely with its subsidiary Registered Social Landlords – Larkfield and Horizon Housing Associations – and aims to ensure that tenants are given various opportunities to get involved and have their say.”
Link Group chief executive, Craig Sanderson, said: “As one of Scotland’s largest provider of affordable housing and related services, we want to ensure that we provide constructive responses to the Scottish Government.
“Now more than ever, we need to adopt an innovative approach to increasing the supply of affordable homes, maintaining existing stock effectively and ensuring that Scotland’s housing system meets the nation’s needs.
“Link has always been flexible in responding to new economic and political challenges during its 48-year history and will do so again in collaboration with its customers, stakeholders and partners.”
