Media Release: Award auccess for Weber Shandwick Scotland

LEADING public relations and public affairs consultancy, Weber Shandwick, has been shortlisted for seven prestigious industry awards by its trade professional association, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in its annual PRide Awards in Scotland.

Work by the consultancy’s teams in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness has been selected to go forward to the final round of the awards by an independent jury of PR and PA professionals from throughout the UK.

The shortlisted campaigns include a community relations programme for Cumbernauld; a campaign to promote Springside in Edinburgh which attracted film star, Sean Connery, a campaign to launch Sirius whisky; a digital web based campaign to promote the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and a media campaign for National Blood Donor Week.

In addition, Weber Shandwick Scotland has been shortlisted for the top award of the night, Outstanding Public Relations Consultancy of the Year.

The CIPR PRide Awards have grown in strength and stature, recognising public relations success and achievement throughout the Scotland. With 1,221 entries this year, Weber Shandwick is delighted to be shortlisted across a range of categories.

The CIPR PRide Awards showcases the best PR work being carried out across the UK regions by a national panel of industry experts assessing the entries and shortlisting work judged to be among the best in the UK.
