MULTI-award winning agency Line Digital has won the prize for Best Use of Visual Design at the prestigious 2010 DADI Awards.
Says a spokesperson: “Picking up the coveted award for the agency’s work on the the innovative Digital Podge website, Line was recognised for its role in developing and managing a complete project package encompassing everything from the popular event’s website and iPhone application to its on-site signage and marketing collateral.
“Entitled Measurable Fun, the 2009 website highlighted the digital industry’s unique accountability, integrating a variety of social media services including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.”
Said creative director, Rufus Spiller: “This award is a huge boost for the Line team. It was a particular honour to work on the Digital Podge website as it is one of the few jobs that is solely viewed by your peers, and given that the feedback on the site has been overwhelmingly positive I am ecstatic to pick up this award, which is really a physical representation of the entire team’s talent and hard work.”
The spokesperson added: “Digital Podge is an exclusive, invitation-only industry event attended by 150 of the digital industry’s managing directors and creative directors.
“Founded in 2003 by creative business mentor, Phil Jones, the meal is a spin-off from the long running Podge Lunches that have lit up the traditional design industry for the past two decades.
“Attracting visitors from across the world and such design luminaries as Erik Spiekermann, Rodney Fitch, Martin Lambe-Nairn and Domenic Lippa, while reknowned for their quota of entertainment and revelry, the events represent one of the most influential gatherings available to the UK creative community.
“Line Digital’s work on the site has seen the agency nominated for several industry awards. Next up for the team are the BIMA’s, where the site is entered in both the websites and microsites and visual design categories.”
