MULTI, award-winning agency, Line Digital, has clinched a unique double by scooping the prize for Best Use of Visual Design at the 2010 BIMA Awards.
Only two weeks after collecting a prestigious DADI award in the same category, Line collected the award for the agency’s work on the the Digital Podge website after judges praised its efforts in developing and managing a complete project package encompassing everything from the annual event’s iPhone application and website to its marketing collateral and on-site signage.
Dubbed Measurable Fun, the 2009 website highlighted the digital industry’s unique accountability, integrating a variety of social media services including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
“This is a great honour. To have seen the Line team’s hard work and talent recognised with one award was praise enough, but scooping a second prize was beyond our expectations. The Digital Podge website is particularly high profile in our industry, and given that the feedback on the site has been overwhelmingly positive I am absolutely delighted with the result,” said creative director, Rufus Spiller.
Digital Podge is an exclusive, invitation-only industry event attended by 150 of the digital industry’s managing directors and creative directors.
Founded in 2003 by creative business mentor, Phil Jones, the meal is a spin-off from the long-running Podge Lunches that have lit up the traditional design industry for the past two decades.
Attracting visitors from across the world and such design luminaries as Erik Spiekermann, Rodney Fitch, Martin Lambe-Nairn and Domenic Lippa, while reknowned for their quota of entertainment and revelry, the events represent one of the most influential gatherings available to the UK creative community.
