Media Release: Edinburgh Airport appoints digital specialists, Spider Online, for new fire training centre website

FOLLOWING a competitive tender, digital specialists, Spider Online, have been appointed by Edinburgh Airport Fire Training Centre to design and develop their new website to promote their courses and facilities.

Edinburgh Airport’s Fire and Rescue Service leads the industry in competency-based training and assessment of skills and this new website will raise awareness and promote the Training Centre to key corporate audiences.

John Campbell, MD Spider Online, said: “There are a limited number of organisations offering this very specialist service in the UK. Edinburgh Airport’s Fire training Centre is one of the leading centres and this site will showcase the great facilities and staff they have in place.”

Spider Online were engaged to develop http://www.eaftc.co.uk –  a compelling, standalone, website which communicates the expertise of Edinburgh Airport Fire Service to three key audiences: personnel who are employed to carry out Rescue and Firefighting (RFF) duties at licensed aerodromes, personnel with training requirements across courses offered and decision-makers and those responsible for booking training.

Colin Murray, Edinburgh Airport fire manager said: “The website development project marks a new and exciting chapter for our Fire Training Centre.

“Our key objective is to showcase our facilities, and promote our courses in an engaging way to the right audiences. Following a thorough tender process, we selected Spider Online as the agency best placed to help us achieve this.”
