Media Release: What’s the best creative approach to drive response to charity mailings?

THIS is just one of the insights which will be provided at the best practice marketing forum for charities and non-profit organisations in Edinburgh on Thursday 10 Feb (5-7pm) at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Edinburgh.

This free quarterly event is hosted by data management specialist, Data Discoveries, and alternates between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Attendees will hear from database expert, Vicky Mudge, who has worked with many major organisations, including a prominent cancer charity.

Vicky will share what creative treatments drive best responses for mailings and how to encourage new donors whilst keeping current donors on board.

Attendees will also have a chance to ask their own specific questions during a question-and-answer session.

Gillian Samson, a volunteer for Royal Blind, attended the most recent forum in November.

She commented: “I really enjoyed the first Data Discoveries marketing forum as there were some really good tips from the expert that we were able to go and use immediately the next day. I am looking forward to the next one and have already put the date in my diary!”

Future topics for the best practice exchange will include marketing industry experts sharing their insights on issues like social media, crisis management and efficient media buying.

Ken Naismith, managing director of Data Discoveries, said:

“The first best practice forum started last November and it was a great success.

“There is clearly an appetite amongst charities and non-profit organisations for this type of exchange.

“We are delighted to offer this free event which allows attendees to share their experiences with others whilst gaining valuable expertise from our guest speakers.”

Data Discoveries has worked with many public sector, blue chip and charitable organisations over the last 15 years. With an intimate knowledge of how to improve direct mail response with effective database management, Data Discoveries wanted to bring together best practice insights with this free forum for charities and non-profit organisations.

The quarterly event is free for any charity or non-profit organisations wishing to attend.
