Media Release: Sixteen year-old care provider organisation experiences learning curve

COMMUNITY Careline Services has been proudly been providing care in the community since 1995, with over 90 service users and 35 dedicated staff team members and our recent Care Commission inspection earned us a grade 5.

We are based at 7 Nithsdale Road, Strathbungo, Glasgow, G41 2AL, 0141 423 4689 www.communitycareline.co

We provide flexible care for individuals with physical and learning disabilities and older people in the South Side of Glasgow.

My name is Sally Millar and I have worked my way to now being a non-executive director at the age of 46 for Community Careline Services and I am very proud of this achievment after almost 16 years dedication to providing a decent and flexible service.

Our services are funded privately and from local authorities and, over the years, we have experienced many changes in the way care is to be provided and the continuing changes in legislation and policies.

Our latest learning curve has been the introduction by the Scottish Executive of the Self Directed Support system which has just been implemented by Glasgow City Council after a successful trial within the Castlemilk area of Glasgow.

The Self Directed Support will enable adults with learning and physical disabilities to complete a self-assessment questionnaire in a format that enables individuals to have full understanding of how they can get the correct care package for their own personal needs.
