HIGHLAND jazz and blues fans will soon have a new opportunity get on down and groove with a series of bi-weekly concerts showcasing local talent.
This new series of gigs will be held at Eden Court, one of the most prestigious venues in the region.
Kicking off the series on 10 April will be ‘Ness River Rhythm Kings’, performing their eclectic mix of 20’s and 30’s tunes, followed on 24 April by ace jazz trombonist, ‘Pat Strachan, with the BL’AZZ trio’.
Highly-rated local blues band, ‘Twisted Blues’, will be playing a rare acoustic set on 08 May and 22 May will see the world premiere of ‘Nulligan’, a four-piece Gerry Mulligan tribute band.

Eden Court’s general manager, Paul McLaughlin, says: “We are pleased to be hosting this series of jazz and blues concerts. I hope that the BL’AZZ organisation will be able to take this inititiative forward and to bring jazz and blues musicians to Eden Court as well as providing a platform for local talent to develop and be appreciated.”
