Media Release: Lord Sugar’s right-hand man revealed as speaker at Northsound Business Dinner 2011

LORD Alan Sugar’s right-hand man, Nick Hewer, is to give the Aberdeen business community an insight into Britain’s most famous ‘hirer and firer’ when he appears at the Northsound Business Dinner 2011.

The Apprentice star is to be the keynote speaker at this year’s dinner, which will take place at Aberdeen’s Marcliffe at Pitfodels Hotel and Spa on Thursday, November 10.

The business dinner is a well-established highlight of the local business calendar, with around 350 prominent businessmen and women due to attend.

Nick is most known for his role as Lord Alan Sugar’s trusted advisor in the hit BBC programme.

Nick’s facial expressions, dry sense of humour and famously eloquent raised eyebrow speak volumes about his opinions of the often hapless contestants.

With a lifetime of business experience behind him, he will enlighten the North-east business audience about his experiences and offer a rare insight into the hit reality TV show.

“It’s great to have been invited as the keynote speaker at this year’s Northsound Business Dinner and I look forward to sharing my career experiences of working with Alan Sugar,” he said.

Northsound’s station director, Cathy Kirk, said she was delighted to have secured such a high-profile speaker.

“The annual dinner is always extremely popular with the local business community,” she said.

“We have become known for attracting well-known and entertaining speakers, and Nick Hewer is no exception.

“He has had an interesting and varied career and I know our guests will be looking forward to hearing some tales about the highs and lows of working with Lord Sugar.”

This signing is the latest coup for Northsound Radio, which has attracted a long list of esteemed speakers including former ‘spin doctor’ Alastair Campbell, former Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott MP, bra tycoon Michelle Mone and PR expert Max Clifford.

The 2011 Northsound Radio Business Dinner will be the 19th event of its kind.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for the event.
