Media Release: The future’s bright for DC Publishing and Enable

WITH spring in the air, the DC Publishing team are working hard putting the final touches to their much-anticipated new title, Enable, launching in May.

Not to be confused with the learning disability charity ENABLE Scotland, this exciting new publication will change the face of disability publishing as we know it. Focussing on lifestyle issues, the bi-monthly magazine will be crammed full of the latest news, thought-provoking features, big name interviews and top opinion pieces.

While the publication is not related to ENABLE Scotland, it is hoped that the two can work together.

DC Publishing’s publisher Denise Connelly and ENABLE Scotland’s chief executive, Peter Scott, have met to discuss hopes of a healthy working relationship between the two and anticipate that together they will be able to work on features relating to learning disability to ensure first-class editorial and advice.

Says a spokesperson: “ENABLE Scotland is a dynamic Scottish charity, working to support children and adults with learning disabilities across the country.

“Both DC Publishing and ENABLE Scotland want to change attitudes to disability, promoting respect and equality for all. By working together we hope to bring this message to a wider audience. When you combine the fantastic work of ENABLE Scotland with the vibrant content and big ideas of Enable magazine, the future’s a little bit brighter for thousands of people with a disability.”
