ACCORDING to a recent study conducted by analyst firm, ABI Research, the global mobile internet industry is going to be worth £21.8bn by 2016, as the use of smartphones and tablets, among other mobile broadband enabled devices, is on the rise.
Says a spokesperson for Simplifydigital: “The research company has also found that tablets in particular were a significant factor in the earlier-mentioned growth as mobile broadband uptake via the GalaxyTab or the iPad and other similar handsets was 66 per cent higher than that of laptops.”
