ST Enoch Centre has appointed an award-winning Glasgow design agency to handle its creative account.
Tangent Graphic – which secured top spot at the 2010 Scottish Design Awards – has been tasked with evolving the shopping centre’s brand across print, digital and large format channels.
Specialists in brand identity, digital design and art direction, Tangent Graphic works with a number of high profile clients including Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Diageo, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, Edinburgh International Book Festival and the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.
David Whyte, of Tangent Graphic, said: “Winning the St. Enoch creative account is a great development for us and we are excited about this new project.
“Our aim is to raise the profile of St. Enoch’s fashion and family retail offering throughout Glasgow and the UK.
“So far, we have worked with the marketing team at St. Enoch to develop a new brand platform that addresses the centre’s messaging, art direction, tone of voice, photography and styling across print and digital material.
“The creative, which will be unveiled in the spring, is flexible and has a lot of longevity. This will help us take the brand in a more sophisticated direction in line with the centre’s objectives.”
Anne Ledgerwood, St. Enoch Centre’s marketing director, said: “2011 marked the first full year of trading for St. Enoch after completing our £150 million redevelopment.
“With footfall hitting a record 19million last year, we felt it was an ideal time to take a fresh look at our branding and at the messages we were sending out to our customers and key stakeholders.
“Tangent Graphic came up with an idea that builds upon the centre’s history and reputation in Glasgow, and we were very impressed with the team and their enthusiasm for the project.
“We are looking forward to working with David and the others at Tangent as we launch our new St. Enoch brand over the coming months.”
