Media Release: Asset Alliance gets the dual seal of approval

ASSET Alliance Ltd has just signed a full contract hire deal with Huddersfield-based Dual Seal Glass – confirming delivery of a number of specialist vehicles and trailers in September and December 2012.

The replacement fleet specification has been designed to meet the increased demand for and flexibility of deliveries by one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers of commercial insulating glass units.

Ian Padley, head of contract hire at Asset Alliance Ltd, commented: “The current economic climate and the ever evolving emissions regulations mean that a genuine long term plan needs to be constructed for any business operating commercial vehicles; allowing them to match operating efficiency with fully-budgeted cost control.

“At Asset Alliance we offer bespoke solutions to meet the specific needs of our customers, both for today and in the future, with the consultative stage being the most critical of any tender process.

“With Dual Seal Glass, we sat down with their management team to discuss their future development plans and arranged presentations from industry specialists to advise on the options available.

“In this case, DAF offered a competitive price and local servicing vital in reducing down time. I look forward to a long lasting partnership between Dual Seal and Asset Alliance.”

In February 2012, Dual Seal Glass began the installation of a new glass manufacturing furnace that will be fully operational in April.

It will improve on final glass quality, allow for the development of Dual Seal’s product offering and manage a greater throughput. It will also enable  Dual Seal to build much larger glass units directly in line with current demand in the commercial construction industry.

This has resulted in the need for a delivery fleet that can cope with the growing demand for a larger product range and the resulting requirement of greater flexibility.

Asset Alliance, who deliver specialist commercial transport asset finance, contract hire and fleet management to businesses in the transport and logistics sector, has worked closely with the operations team at Dual Seal to provide a fleet package that can adequately meet the demands of Dual Seal’s changing operation.

The package includes:

  • 2 x Cargotec Moffett Truck Mounted Forklift Model M8 30.3W
  • DAF FTGCF85.460 6×2 44t tractor unit
  • Montracon 13.6M Tri-Axle Trailer with Moffet Mounting Kit
  • DAF FANCF75.310 26t, 6×2 rear steer Curtain with Moffett Mounting Kit
  • 2 x DAF FANCF75.310 26t, 6×2 rear steer Dropside  with Moffett Mounting Kit

The consultancy approach that Asset Alliance adopts with every client in order to deliver an uniquely-tailored package has been a major factor in sealing the deal with Dual Seal Glass.

Steven Larvin, operations director at Dual Seal Glass, said: “With our changing and growing business we wanted a fleet to meet our own specific requirements and those of our customers. We also wanted to future-proof for the coming years at the best possible cost option.

“We had many questions about how we should move forward as the fleet had to be right for Dual Seal and our customers. Asset Alliance have a vast amount of fleet management experience which, with the specialists consultants they brought on board, allowed us to look at all the best options.

“It really has been a pleasurable experience teaming up with Asset Alliance. For such a professional company, nothing is too much trouble; from setting up meetings to bringing in specialists they made it one of the easiest contract hire deals I have ever had to sign.”
