Media Release: BIS Skills Centre to exhibit at OTC

SPECIALIST training and consultancy services provider, BIS Skills Centre, is preparing to exhibit for the first time at two key industry events this year.

Representatives from the Centre will be exhibiting at OTC (Offshore Technology Conference) in Houston, Texas, held at the Reliant Centre from April 30 to May 03.

The Centre, which has experienced a continued level of growth since it was established in 2005, attracts individual clients and companies from across the globe.

Recently, delegates travelled from Australia to attend the Centres OPITO approved blasting and painting course.

As well as exhibiting at OTC, staff will travel to Abu Dhabi in November for ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference). It is hoped this continued investment will further cement the company’s international presence.

Wendy Stephan, manager of BIS Skills Centre, is delighted that the Centre will be part of what is considered to be two of the most important events on the offshore industry’s calendar.

She said: “I am delighted that our Centre has the opportunity to exhibit at OTC and ADIPEC this year, it is something we have been considering due to the increased interest we have received from clients overseas.

“By ensuring our trainers are of the highest quality, and working with industry bodies such as OPITO and SQA, we aim to ensure that everyone who comes to the centre leaves with the highest level of competency in their chosen area.

“I am confident that our time at OTC will act as a platform to raise international awareness of the specialised work we carry out and allow us to further strengthen existing key relationships, whilst forming new ones from around the globe.”
