Media Release: Master LinkedIn in a day, with Perceptive Partners Communications

FOLLOWING the massive growth in the use of LinkedIn as a business networking tool and the successful launch of the ‘Mastering LinkedIn in a day’ social media training course, Perceptive Partners Communications announced today that a series of these workshops will be kicking off at Hillington Park Innovation Centre, Glasgow on 26th June and Alba Innovation Centre, Livingston, Edinburgh on 28th June.

In association with Hillington Park and Alba Innovation Centres, the one-day masterclasses are an one-stop shop to help people understand how to harness LinkedIn to supercharge their personal profile for business success.

Says a spokesperson: “This event will reveal hints and tips to leapfrog competitors, share successful business development secrets and understand how to secure the most effective recommendations. Attendees can even have their photo taken for their profile at the workshop.

“LinkedIn is now recognised as the largest social network for business professionals and now has over 150 million users. But an overwhelming majority of people are self-taught, wasting precious hours and resources. LinkedIn also allows people to network more efficiently and supercharge face-to-face networking efforts.”

Julie Moulsdale, managing director of Perceptive Partners Communications, who has trained dozens of people and organisations on LinkedIn, said: “Rather than spending hours and days at networking events and business breakfasts, LinkedIn provides a massive online resource which allows people to network, influence, build their brand, research, recruit, connect and do business with their target audiences day or night, and at virtually no cost.

“When LinkedIn activity is done well and integrated with face-to-face networking, this can take your networking stratospheric!”

Gillian Campbell, solicitor at Biggart Baillie, said: “I would highly recommend Perceptive Partners’ training on how to improve your use of LinkedIn. I had set up a profile months ago but learned that I was not using it to the best of its ability.

“Julie Moulsdale offers many tips and hints and I think even the most seasoned LinkedIn users will come away with something new.”

As well as these training courses, Perceptive Partners Communications offers LinkedIn consulting and LinkedIn in-house training for companies and one-to-one training for individuals.

Perceptive Partners Communications is one of Scotland’s leading PR and Communications agencies, specialising in property, professional services and technology companies and clients include Cisco, digital technology  trade body ScotlandIS, PwC and City Legacy, developers of the Athletes’ Village for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The cost of the workshop including having a professional photo taken, top ten tips and hand out slide deck is just  £249 plus VAT and attendees can apply for 50 per cent grant funding through Skills Development Scotland’s flexible training opportunities grant.
