ALREADY struggling to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays?

Well, you’ll be delighted to learn that The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns is lending a helping hand by running two Story Time days.

Organised in association with Waterstone’s, the first Story Time, featuring chart-topping children’s author Keith Charters, takes place on Tuesday 12th July and is suitable for children aged from seven years old upwards.

A second Story Time, featuring first-time children’s author Scott McIntyre, is scheduled for Tuesday 2nd August and is suitable for children from four to eight years old.

Michelle McCabe, centre manager at The Avenue, said: “Story Time offers harassed parents an ideal opportunity to entertain – and educate – their kids throughout the long summer days by listening to some riveting stories from two leading local children’s authors.”

Story Time at The Avenue on Tuesday 12th July and 2nd August starts at noon, with reading sessions continuing every 45 minutes throughout the afternoon until 3.45pm.

Story Time is just one part of the summer holiday programme of free kids’ entertainment on offer at The Avenue every Sunday to Thursday to suit all ages. Shoppers attending four activities can pick up a Loyalty Card and win a fab prize.
