FRIENDS and family of the late Fidra House carer, Janice Lugton, have raised over £900 for Epilepsy Scotland at a tribute party held in West Barns Inn, Dunbar.

Thirty generous local businesses also donated many prizes for the fundraiser event.

Many residents at the North Berwick care home, where Janice Lugton was a well-loved member of staff, watched as Janice’s daughter, Gail, and mum, Nettie, presented £927 to Epilepsy Scotland’s senior fundraiser, Helen Craig.

Colleagues and Janice’s family then enjoyed a special afternoon tea together at Fidra House.

Gail said: “We are blown over with the generosity of this donation in Janice’s name. We would like to thank everyone who got involved and helped to make the evening such a success. So many companies gave support including the venue to hold the party. We hope everyone there had a great night remembering Janice.”
