From Monday listeners can to tune into Colin McArdle’s MC in the Morning from 6am to 10am.

Colin will be waking up Ayrshire with the new sounding breakfast show. The region has been getting up with the MC man at the weekend but it’s now time to wake up with Colin weekdays, instead.

Festival loving Fiona Shields slots into the daytime show from 10am – 2pm and brings with her West FM Workday.

The no-repeat feature on the show ensures that avid listeners won’t hear the same song from 9am-3pm weekdays on West FM.

After six years of early mornings, Alan Shaw is throwing away his alarm clock and is moving from the breakfast show to drivetime guaranteeing the people of Ayrshire are entertained on the way home.

His show will play the newest hits and bring breaking news and up-to-the-minute traffic and travel to listeners.

Brenda Ritchie, station director at West FM and West Sound, said: “It’s a very exciting time at West FM.

“Our listeners are at the heart of everything we do so we’ve shaken up our schedule a little to bring them the best in music, news and entertainment.

“We’re looking forward to our new schedule and welcoming our presenters to their shows. I’m sure the audience will love the changes we have made.

“Colin is a fabulous addition to take the breakfast show forward and he’s sure to get everyone going in the mornings when you can tune in from the crack of dawn.

“Fiona has been cutting her teeth with our sister station West Sound where she broadcast the 10am-2pm slot throughout the summer and her top tunes and entertaining chat will keep audiences engaged throughout the day.

“Alan’s wealth of experience sits really well with our drive time slot and I know that he’s delighted that he’ll now be able to stay up late enough to watch the News at Ten!”
