LA Parmigiana, one of Glasgow’s finest restaurants for classic Italian cuisine, has introduced its Christmas lunch and dinner menus.
Renowned for being elegant, yet affordable, La Parmigiana’s Christmas lunch menu features starters of: meat ravioli cooked and served in consommé; rabbit terrine wrapped in parma ham; salmon tartar with pickled cucumber and dill and open stuffed mushroom with roasted vegetables and goat’s cheese.
Mains dishes include: fillet of salmon with balsamic vinegar; traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings; pheasant with red wine and juniper berries with fried polenta; roast veal in frascati and stuffed pig’s trotter with stewed lentils.
Desserts, meanwhile, include: Christmas pudding made in house with brandy sauce or brandy butter; traditional sherry trifle and chocolate and rum truffle torte.
La Parmigiana’s Christmas dinner menu features starters of: cocktail of Scottish crab with avocado and Marie Rose; slow roasted pork belly with glazed onions; tagliatelle made inhouse with wild mushrooms and minestrone.
Main dishes include: veal cheek braised in Barolo; game ravioli with parmesan and rosemary flavoured butter; roasted duck with chestnuts and wild berries; Italian pot au feu of poached meats with beef veal chicken and zampone sausage and sea bass baked in tin foil with tomatoes, potatoes and white wine and timbale of roasted vegetables.
The delicious dessert menu features: Christmas pudding with brandy sauce or brandy butter; Panettone bread and butter pudding; tiramisu and chocolate and rum truffle torte.
