YOU can’t beat an art exhibition to rub shoulders with like-minded people with an appreciation for the finer things in life – and if you’re still searching for a unique gift for your nearest and dearest this Christmas then you should visit the Gallery at Mussel Inn, which is showing ‘Rubbing Shoulders’, an exhibition featuring ten female artists.
The exhibition features ten female artists who have all ‘rubbed shoulders’ with each other at some point during their careers.
They are: Doreen Boogert; Silvana Maclean; Sarah Keast; Karen Lloyd; Marion McFarlane; Janette Phillips; Anne Coxey; Janet McCrorie; Karen Rogers and Anne Plutshack.
And the exhibition’s diverse subject matter – from life paintings; moving figures; food and still life studies, all in various styles and mediums – will suggest a whole host of Christmas gift ideas.
The exhibition launch takes place on Saturday 3rd December 2011 from 11am till 1pm in the Gallery at Mussel Inn.
Canapés and wine will be served – and there’s a 25 per cent discount when dining in the restaurant that day.
Located at 157 Hope Street in Glasgow, the award-winning Mussel Inn is renowned for its passion for art and its offering of delicious locally sourced fresh seafood.
