THE latest research published by ComScore’s in their Video Metrix for October of 2011 has demonstrated the full reach and power that the video streaming giant YouTube has gathered within the US. YouTube now accounts for 49.1 per cent of all video being watched online out of a total of 42.6 billion videos viewed in total, throughout October in the US.
With videos being viewed online at a record high, seeing YouTube deliver over 20 billions unique views for the first time, there are now 184 million unique US internet users watching online videos in a single month. Compared to September, that seen 182 million unique users watching online videos.
