TONY MARSH

ENTERTAINING the kids this half term just got a whole lot easier with a new all-day ticket at Edinburgh’s five star attraction, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions.

Offering great value for money, visitors will be able to make an entire day of the six storey fun house with the freedom to pop out for lunch, refreshments and moments of recovery from the swirling Vortex Tunnel, as and when it suits.

For the half-term week, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions will also be extending its opening hours, ensuring visitors get the most for their money.

From Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 February, the attraction will be open until 8pm each day for even more antics in the Ames Room and maximum mischief in the Mirror Maze.

Camera Obscura & World of Illusions is considered the city’s oldest, purpose-built visitor attraction. Located a few feet from the Castle esplanade, the 177 year-old venue comprises five floors of interactive exhibits, mind bending illusions and hands-on fun, plus a rooftop terrace overlooking the city, which houses the historical camera obscura itself.

Camera Obscura and World of Illusions is located on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and is open seven days a week.

Tickets are priced at: adults £10.95; student/senior £8.95; children (five-15 years) £7.95; under five’s go free.

The attraction also offers a satisfaction guarantee. Should any visitor not be completely satisfied with their experience, Camera Obscura & World of Illusions will refund their admission fee – no quibbles.
