SWAGELOK Scotland, the authorised Swagelok sales and service centre for the whole of Scotland, is to relocate its facility from Dyce to Silvertrees Business Park at Westhill after a site acquisition.

Silvertrees, which is owned by Aberdeen-based CHAP Group, comprises nine acres of land, immediately adjacent to the new Arnhall industrial estate.

With more than 330,000 sq ft of speculative office space presently being constructed, the site is being developed with the aim of attracting commercial and industrial tenants on long-term leases.

Swagelok Scotland is moving to a bespoke 20,000 sq ft office, warehouse and assembly facility and is the first client to sign up to the fully serviced land at Silvertrees.

With the building targeted to open by early July, Swagelok Scotland’s MD, Peter O’Connor, said: “This new building will enable us to introduce a number of new customer focused services as well as allowing for our continued growth.

“Retention of our much valued workforce is vital to maintaining and enhancing our service to customers and also to achieving our future plans so the location of the new building was critical – Silvertrees ticked all the boxes.”

CHAP Construction managing director, Douglas Thomson, said: “We are delighted to announce our first, of many, clients to our Silvertrees development and we welcome Swagelok Scotland and wish them continued success for the future.”

Swagelok Scotland offers a market leading range of fluid system products for analytical, instrumentation and piping applications across a wide variety of industry sectors.

In addition to offering expanded space for all current business functions, the new Silvertrees facility will include a customised multi-suite Training and Conference Centre to help support the planned growth of the company.

Already programmed for November 2012 is a five-day Analytical Instrumentation workshop plus a North Sea Technology Conference later in the same month.

J&E Shepherd partner, Chris Grinyer, acting for CHAP, added that “the development at Silvertrees has had a healthy number of enquiries and will prove popular with occupiers due to the location and flexibility on site”.
