AWARD-winning Scottish seafood restaurant, Mussel Inn, is showing its support for Dine Around’s Malawi May Appeal by offering a three-course seafood meal and a glass of wine in its Glasgow restaurant for just £15.95.

Malawi May is the Glasgow Restaurant Association’s spring dining campaign that unites restaurants and food lovers across Glasgow, whilst raising money for a fantastic cause.

The Glasgow Restaurant Association, together with 5pm.co.uk, has committed to contribute on every Dine Around meal booked through Glasgow Dine Around.

Mussel Inn’s Dine Around Menu for May features starters of: soup of the day; creamy seafood chowder or a bowl of mussels Moroccan.

The mains options are: shellfish pasta with mussels, prawns and queenies; beer battered fish and chips or pan-fried wild mushrooms with fettuccini and baby spinach.

The desserts on offer are a choice between apple and cinnamon strudel or warm sticky date pudding served with toffee sauce and ice cream.

Matt Johansson, food and beverage manager at Mussel Inn, said: “Every booking will raise money to help improve education in Malawi through Malawi Leaders of Learning, an unique opportunity and a new Scottish partnership forged between Glasgow Council’s education services and Malawi’s South West Division.

“This is a two-way charity and development scheme aimed at sharing resources and expertise between two countries to improve the quality of learning and teaching for Malawian children.

“The Glasgow Restaurant Association, together with 5pm, is hoping to raise funds for a project manager to work between schools in the South West Region of Malawi.

“Through Glasgow Dine Around, and other events during the month of May, the aim is to raise £12,000 which will pay for the project manager’s motorbike and his salary for the first year.

“Mussel Inn is delighted to play its part to raise funds for this worthy cause.”

Mussel Inn’s special Dine Around menu is available till 31st May, Sun – Thurs from 5pm onwards.
