LEADING casing accessory and completion tool company, Downhole Products, have announced a key appointment to the UK team.
Peter Byth has joined the company in the role of finance officer, bringing to the Portlethen-based team 30 years of financial experience in electronics, food ingredients, pharmaceuticals, speciality chemicals and the oil and gas sector.
Commenting on Peter’s appointment, Downhole Products’ managing director, Ian Kirk, said: “Peter has held numerous positions and gained a wealth of experience within organisations both large and small, all with global reach.
“We are delighted that he has joined our team and look forward to him playing a part in the company’s ongoing growth.”
Downhole Products are a world market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of casing accessories and completion tools such as centralisers, reamer guide shoes and cable clamp protectors.
The most recent addition to their product offering is CaseBit, a joint development with American parent company, Varel International, which incorporates patent pending features designed to ensure effective drilling and smooth drill-out for the following string.
