LEADING mid-tier accountancy firm, French Duncan, has consolidated its reputation for having one of the largest and fastest-growing mid-tier business recovery practices in Scotland with the appointment of a new senior manager.

The recruitment of David McGinness as senior manager, working out of the firm’s Glasgow office, follows the recent appointment of Brian Milne as partner in French Duncan’s business recovery practice and marks the first stage in the next growth phase for the department.

A member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, qualified to act as an insolvency practitioner, McGinness brings extensive experience in both corporate and personal insolvency to the firm.

Of his appointment he said: “Having previously worked at French Duncan as an independent insolvency consultant for three years, I am delighted rejoin a firm which I firmly believe has the potential to offer SMEs better value and a more personal, more responsive and more flexible service than some of its larger competitors.”

Welcoming McGinness to the firm, Brian Milne, partner in French Duncan’s business recovery practice, said: “David’s appointment enhances our ability to provide clients with a level of expertise more economically and efficiently than many of our larger competitors.”

French Duncan’s business recovery practice is spearheaded by two partners and comprises 30 dedicated, full-time and highly experienced staff. In recent years the practice has opened a business recovery practice in Edinburgh and acquired a business recovery practice in Hamilton.

Based in the Glasgow office, McGinness’s remit will see him provide all aspects of corporate insolvency, personal insolvency, restructuring and advice work.
