THE Regent Shopping Centre, in the heart of Hamilton town centre, kicks-off its Euro 2012 Championship celebrations tomorrow (Friday 8th June) with a store and staff dress-up, with each store in the centre adopting the identity of their favourite Euro 2012 team.

A series of family-friendly, fun-packed music and competition events will follow throughout the rest of the month.

Kicking off the celebrations was Regent mall-mascot King Reg, who will be sporting a series of football strips in the shopping centre throughout the championship.

This Saturday sees a Beat The Goalie competition take place in the shopping centre, music from popular DJ, Stevie Lennon, and dance troupe, Fame Academy, performing a special routine in football strips.

Shirley Cant at The Regent said: “We’ve got a fantastic series of events taking place in the Centre throughout the duration of the championship – and there will be some fab prizes handed out for the best dressed store, as voted for by the public, and a host of surprise prizes for shoppers too!

“Regardless of whether or not you’re a football fan, you’ll find all you want and a whole lot more at The Regent in June!”

The Regent Shopping Centre has been Hamilton’s prime shopping destination for many years. With quality anchor tenants including Marks & Spencer, Bhs, Wilkinsons and Boots together with major names such as New Look and Evans, the centre provides a strong retail offer to a large loyal catchment population.
