BOUDOIR Wine Bar in Merchant Square, in the heart of Glasgow’s cultural, fashion and food quarter, has introduced an extensive new wine and cocktail list.

The new list features: champagnes, Italian sparklers and rosé wines; house white wines; house red wines; French and Italian white wines; French and Italian red wines; white wines from around the world; red wines from around the world; sweet wines; cocktails and champagnes.

Proprietor, Darren Scott, said: “We are a French and Italian inspired wine bar, like the bustling back street wine bars that you stumble upon in cities such as Rome, Paris, Nice or Verona.

“A fresh concept, full of character and elegance with a vibrant heart, we are a contemporary wine bar where everyone is welcome – and our new wine and cocktail list reflects that.

“We serve wine with an alternative approach, opting for glasses of 125ml, 175ml or 250ml measures to offer customers both economy and an option for experimentation whilst encouraging sensible drinking.”

Boudoir’s champagne selection ranges from the Brut Premier nv, priced at £9.25 at the 125ml glass, to a bottle of Cristal Brut 2004 for £249.95.

Its house white wines, meanwhile, range from the Italian Cortese, 2011, Araldica, Piemonte, at £2.80 for a 125ml glass, £15.95 for a bottle, up to the French Viognier (organic), 2011, Domaine du Chateau D’eau Moillard, Languedoc, VDP D’Oc at £3.65 for a 125ml glass and £21.45 for a bottle.

And Boudoir’s house reds range from the Italian Barbera, 2011, Araldica, Piemonte, at £2.80 for a 125ml glass, £15.95 for a bottle, up to the Beaujolais-Villages 2010, Domaine Les Tours de Montmelas, Beaujolais, at £3.75 for a 125ml glass and £21.95 for a bottle.

Boudoir’s extensive cocktail list – all priced at £5.95 – includes: Rossini; Spritz; Puccini; Merchant of Venice; Violet Butterfly; Rosito; Boudoir Cooler; Le Fizz; Fritalian Sour; Pimms Cup; French Kiss; Sidecar; Negroni; St Tropez; Margarita; Reverse Martini; Caipirinha; Ypioca Cachaca and Basil Grande.

In addition to its extensive wine and cocktail list, Boudoir also stocks a range of Italian micro brewed beers imported from the Amacord, Birra Baladin and Birra del Borgo breweries in Italy as well as a fine selection of cognac, port, vermouth and liqueurs.

Boudoir also offers a petite selection of food, ranging from fresh pastries in the morning to antipasti available throughout the day.

Located on a prominent corner site, at the junction of Candleriggs and Wilson Street, Boudoir offers an intimate space featuring an opulent white, purple and black interior with plush, veiled booths and wine barrels with high-backed bar stools.
