RESIDENTS at the what is considered to be Aberdeen’s only independently-owned private nursing home have enjoyed a trip to an award-winning hotel on Royal Deeside.
As part of a busy programme of social activities at Hawkhill House Nursing Home, residents recently took a bus trip to Banchory where they were treated to a mouth-watering afternoon tea at the town’s Tor-na-Coille Hotel.
Tor-na-Coille Hotel general manager, Phillip Fleming, said: “It was a pleasure to host the Hawkhill House visit and delightful to see all the guests enjoy the freshly prepared treats which are the centrepiece of our increasingly popular afternoon teas.
“It was a great day and we look forward to welcoming our friends from Hawkhill House again soon.”
Hawkhill House owner and managing director, Rona Tayler, added: “Since Hawkhill opened, we have placed great emphasis on providing a broad programme of activities for our residents.
“As well as a busy in-house programme of entertainment and activities, we also make sure our residents get the chance to experience special events including a party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
“We are very grateful to Phillip and the team at Tor-na-Coille for their efforts in making our summer outing such a special and memorable day for everyone involved.”
