METROPOLITAN cocktail bar and restaurant in Merchant Square has issued an open invitation to carnivores to a Steak Out every Thursday.
The restaurant’s Thursday Steak Out deal comprises soup of the day followed by a juicy 8oz sirloin Scotch beef steak with grilled flat cap mushroom, plum tomato salad and Maris Piper chips with a peppercorn sauce accompanied by a satisfying bottle of organic Argentinean Malbec for only £39.95 per couple.
Manager, Darren Scott, said: “Whether you like your steak rare, medium or well-done, our chef will prepare your prime cut of Scotch beef according to your preferences for you to enjoy along with our recommended wine. Metropolitan really is the perfect place for carnivores to dine on Thursdays.”
Located on Candleriggs at the heart of the Merchant City, Glasgow’s cultural, fashion and food quarter, Merchant Square offers an eclectic selection of restaurants and cafes.
Once part of the old Glasgow Fruit Market, Merchant Square is imbued with the history of the area’s dominating Victorian architecture, although today this sense of history blends seamlessly with the distinctly cosmopolitan ambiance that pervades the surrounding cobbled streets that bring the outside in.
