Media Release: Design students achieve outstanding results with the Interactive Design Institute and Adobe software

GRAPHIC design students are getting outstanding results studying online with the Interactive Design Institute, says Adobe.

A recent blog on the Adobe website says that art and design students at the University of Hertfordshire accredited institute have been achieving results which ‘exceed the national average’.

Liz Wilkins, senior marketing manager for education at Adobe Systems UK, was surprised to discover that more than 300 students across 40 countries are enrolled on distance learning courses at the Musselburgh-based institute.

She said: “Students from the institute have achieved some outstanding results in national and international competitions including the Adobe Design Achievement Awards where one student is through to the semi-final in the illustration category.

“All of their courses are delivered completely online so students can learn whenever they want and at a pace that suits them, irrespective of where they are – which is perfect for students if they’re also juggling families and jobs!”

IDI director, Fiona Crosbie, said: “We are delighted with the recent achievements of our students both in their degree results and success in international design competitions.

“All our distance learning students get personalised support thanks to a dedicated online tutor and student forum that they can use to bounce ideas around and get advice.

“They even have access to Adobe software and are able to use these industry standard tools for their studies. We believe that this has helped them to achieve these outstanding results.”

She added: “IDI have students in 45 countries and we are looking forward to holding our graduation ceremony at Edinburgh Castle in November, with students and their families attending from all over the world.”

IDI is on the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP).

Student quote: Tasnim Aragi
“I have two young children and am now expecting my third. I find it very challenging trying to manage my job with studying and looking after my family, but I found that IDI was so flexible and allowed me to do it all. I can’t say it’s easy, especially now that I’m studying full time, but it’s great that I can study whenever I find I have some free time, and can do it at my own pace and from home.”
