Media Release: Edinburgh members club opens doors to business

EVENT organisers and business people are invited to take a peek inside one of Edinburgh’s most prestigious members clubs this Tuesday (2 October) as The Royal Scots Club showcases its recently refurbished conference, meeting and events facilities.

The Open Day provides a chance to meet the events team and experience the atmosphere of the club while viewing its impressive range of private rooms and suites, including the elegant Ellesmere Room and the all encompassing Princess Royal Suite.

There will also be the opportunity to sample the venue’s fine food in its dining rooms and see its 23 en-suite bedrooms.

Set within an elegant Georgian building at 29 Abercromby Place, The Royal Scots Club offers an intimate venue with friendly service, superb technology, free wifi and modern facilities which can cater for up to 200.

Adrian Hayes, general manager, explained that The Royal Scots Club welcomes non-members for meetings and events.

He said: “As we are a members club, people are often surprised to hear that all of our meeting and event facilities are available to the open market, thereby offering seclusion and privacy to conference organisers. We mix great facilities with a warm and relaxed atmosphere in an amazing building of architectural and historical interest.

“We have a good city centre location which is easily accessible and our very competitive club prices are extended to conference users for food and beverage, room hire and bedrooms.”

With a choice of rooms and packages, The Royal Scots Club is ideal for everything from gala dinners to board meetings and corporate lunches. Many organisations use the venue on a regular basis including the Chartered Institute of Marketing Scotland.

Alistair Murray, CIM Scotland chair, said: “The club has all-round appeal with its central location, lots of excellent flexible facilities plus elegant and prestigious surroundings. The new facilities including the Princess Royal Suite offer us additional space, exceptional presentation technology and everything we need for our events. The venue is always accommodating and nothing is too much trouble.”

The Business Open Day at The Royal Scots Club will take place on Tuesday 2 October from 8am to 2pm and 4pm to 7pm.

As spaces are limited, free online registration is recommended. For more information or to sign up, visit: http://bit.ly/QpJvK6
