Media Release: Dargavel Village Bishopton comes to life with a click…

Dargavel Village

THE multi-million pound development of Dargavel Village, Bishopton, in Renfrewshire, has launched a new website to offer outline information on the new homes which will be available within the first phase of this major transformational project in the west of Scotland.

www.dargavelvillage.co.uk offers information on the new homes being provided by CALA, Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey and at this stage interested buyers can register their details on the website to be kept informed of the latest news direct from the developers.

Remediation of the land ahead of the construction of the residential housing in phase one is well underway.

The first phase of the development, which will include housebuilders CALA, Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey will be approximately 530 modern, energy efficient homes comprising two, three, four and five bedrooms on the BAE Systems-owned site in Bishopton, making this one of the most exciting property developments taking place in the UK at the moment.

Launching www.dargavelvillage.co.uk is an opportunity for prospective buyers to get a real sense of the range of styles and scope of the first phase of new homes coming soon to this pretty village in Renfrewshire as Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, comments: “There’s already a lot of interest in the new homes that Dargavel Village, Bishopton will offer and we’re pleased that progress on-site means that we hope to be on-sale later this year.

“The website shows indicative street scenes of the new homes that Taylor Wimpey will deliver within the first phase of the development, and a sense of the quality, style and craftsmanship that buyers can expect.”

Liana Canavan, sales and marketing director for CALA Homes (West) adds: “We are delighted to be involved in a development of this scale that will provide beautiful modern homes within the picturesque rural setting of Bishopton.

As progress is made on the development, www.dargavelvillage.co.uk will be regularly updated to allow potential buyers to see for themselves the range of luxury, spacious four and five bedroom detached homes that CALA will deliver as part of the first phase of residential homes.”

Dargavel Village, Bishopton is a promising new development that aims to offer something for everyone as Ingrid Gahagan, sales director for Persimmon Homes West Scotland, adds: “We’re already experiencing a demand for information from people looking to find out more about our range of three, four and five bedroom new homes that will be available at Dargavel Village, Bishopton.

“I’d encourage potential buyers to check-out www.dargavelvillage.co.uk and register their details to be amongst the first to get all our news from the development.

“Interested parties will also find handy information on the location and the great transport links this development will offer to buyers looking to get the best of all worlds.”

Notes to editor:

  • Dargavel Village, Bishopton earned one young Bishopton resident, Emma Brown, (aged eight), a place in local history earlier this year after she won a competition hosted by BAE Systems to name the development. Her entry, ‘Dargavel Village’, was selected by the panel of judges as the most suitable name for the development. Emma chose ‘Dargavel Village’, Bishopton, after finding her dad’s book on the history of Bishopton and noticed a photograph of Dargavel House in the grounds of the old Royal Ordnance Factory site.
  • BAE Systems’ ambitious regeneration project will transform an 1800-acre site into a thriving new community incorporating modern homes, recreational facilities and a range of commercial and community buildings.

This multi-million pound project will create a beautiful living space with around 2500 new homes, 150,000sq m of commercial and employment related spaces within a business park, a sizeable community woodland park offering recreation and open space areas, a library, health centre and a brand new, purpose-built primary school.

It is due for completion in 2026.
