IT’S now easier than ever for residents of one of Renfrewshire’s biggest housing associations to contact their landlord to request repairs, pay their bills or find somewhere new to live.

Linstone Housing Association, which owns and manages properties throughout Paisley, Johnstone and Linwood, has launched a state-of-the-art new website which aims to make life easier for tenants with hectic lives.

The new site, available at www.linstone.co.uk, was developed by award-winning digital agency, NSDesign, based in Hillington.

It includes a unique repair reporting service meaning residents with access to the internet can, if they choose, flag up non urgent faults without having to phone or email.

Launching the site, Linstone Housing Association’s director of finance and corporate services, Gary Dalziel, said: “Our focus when we decided to develop a new web site was to provide our customers with a more interactive experience and we’re delighted with what NSDesign have delivered.

“They worked very closely with us to establish what our customers really needed and to make things as simple and user friendly for them as possible.

“Of course, we hope everyone will have a look and try these additional online services, especially our social media feeds which are integrated into the website but I would stress these are ‘additional’ methods of contacting the association.

“We continue to provide an excellent service through phone, email and face to face contact and always will.”

The completely re-built site includes a wealth of easy to access information dealing with issues such as how to report anti social behaviour, what to do if you fall behind with your rent and how to apply for housing.

Residents who’re active on social media networks like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn will find prominent ‘badges’ linking to Linstone’s feeds.

Gary Ennis, managing director of NSDesign, is pleased to see a housing association using new methods of engaging with its customers.

He said: “There’s a growing number of people spending an increasing amount of time on social networks like Facebook.

“It’s where they find out what’s going on, how they talk to their friends…why shouldn’t they be able to report a problem with their home? I’m really pleased to see this technology being used in such a positive way.

“Other businesses could learn a lot from what Linstone are doing on this new site. And anyone who wants to see what social media can do for their business should come along to our next ‘Embrace The Space’ masterclass this Friday 14th December at Hillington Park Innovation Centre.

“All the details are online at www.embracethespace.co.uk.”

And Paul Elliot, one of NSDesign’s creative web designers, added: “I really enjoyed working with Linstone on their new website. It was exciting playing a part in bringing what was an old and difficult to use website up to date, creating a refreshing and intuitive experience and bringing the focus back to the end users.

“We worked closely with the Linstone team at each stage of the process and developed a great working relationship with them.”

The website also features prominent rich images, video content, customer feedback surveys and will be used by Linstone as an additional method of advertising its own job vacancies.
