ABERDEEN-based Aiken Group is preparing to make a festive donation to the work of local charity, CLAN.
Instead of sending Christmas cards, the company makes an annual donation to charity and CLAN was chosen because it lies close to the hearts of Aiken Group employees.
Aiken Group is a leading multi-discipline company specialising in accommodation upgrades, refurbishments and new-builds worldwide. It is headquartered on Crombie Road in Aberdeen and the 25 year-old company employs 64 staff at its headquarters plus around 100 contractors worldwide.
Commenting on the donation, Aiken Group managing director, Danny Donald, said: “A number of people on our team have been affected by cancer. Some have supported family members through treatment and our HR manager Christine Bateman has, this year, experienced her own battle with the disease.
“We hope that this £500 donation in lieu of Christmas cards will help with the wonderful work CLAN does in supporting patients and their families.”
Aiken Group is based at Crombie House, 72-90 Crombie Road, Aberdeen, AB11 9QP. For further information visit www.aikengroup.com or call (01224) 244300.
