ROMANTICS can treat their loved ones to the food of love this Valentine’s Day as the Italian Bistro in Glasgow’s West End launches its Valentine’s menu featuring a romantic selection of Italian classic and modern international cuisine.
Proprietor, Nas Aksi, said: “Where better to treat your loved one this year than to a romantic meal for two in an Italian restaurant? Italian cuisine is renowned as the food of love and the Italian Bistro offers the perfect setting for a special Valentine’s evening.”
The restaurant’s Valentine’s menu features starters of: grilled asparagus wrapped in parma ham with a soft poached egg and hollandaise sauce; classic minestrone soup with basil oil; terrine of three salmons, fine leaves and lemon crème fraiche and ribbons of gala melon and seasonal berries served with raspberry sorbet.
Mains options include: prime Scottish fillet of beef, classic grill garnish and house chips with pepper sauce; creamy risotto of smoked Finning haddock, finished with peas and fine herbs; roast breast of chicken, Stornoway black pudding buttery mash and green beans and wild mushroom lasagne, grilled asparagus, rocket and parmesan salad with white truffle oil.
The desserts on offer, meanwhile, are: passion fruit cheesecake with strawberries; white chocolate pot and passion fruit sorbet; sharp lemon tart, vanilla chantilly cream and compote of oranges and a selection of artisan cheese with celery apple and grapes.
The Italian Bistro’s Valentine’s menu is available at £24.95 per person. Located in a distinctive and stylish historic building on Glasgow’s Great Western Road, The Italian Bistro provides a stylish and contemporary dining atmosphere.
