A LITTLE touch of Hollywood glitz and glamour has made its way to Glasgow and into the hands of film director, Mark Wright.
Wright is making a short horror/thriller film and has been given leading-edge camera equipment used to film epic movies such as Prometheus, The Hobbit, Hitchcock, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Amazing Spider-Man.
The Red Epic camera, loaned to him by Futurist Digital, was the actual camera used to film The Fast and The Furious 6 and Outpost 3.
Said Wright: “The Red Epic is pretty much the industry standard for Hollywood, and to have secured a camera actually used on set in such films is a real coup.
“We couldn’t have done it without the support of the guys at Futurist Digital, who will also be supporting our production with onset data management and DIT services.”
Futurist Digital is a boutique RED EPIC camera hire, DIT and on set post-production company based in Glasgow.
CEO Steve Johnson said: “By helping Dark Form Productions shoot on the RED EPIC in 5K, and managing the onset data, we are ensuring that the production is opened up to as many distribution models and platforms, not just now, but in the future.
