Media Release: Clydebank College among winners at college marketing awards held in Glasgow

MARKETING teams from colleges across Scotland gathered at the Trades Hall in Glasgow last night for the College Development Network’s College Marketing Awards 2013.

Clydebank College won gold in six categories, including the Grand Prix for its Clydebank Car-nage event, which was designed to highlight the consequences of reckless driving and was delivered in partnership with Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, Strathclyde Police and the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Other gold winners on the night included Ayr College, City of Glasgow College, West Lothian College and Langside College.

The College Marketing Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate excellent marketing practice in Scotland’s colleges.

John Henderson, chief executive of the College Development Network and Colleges Scotland, commented: “Colleges’ marketing teams currently face a number of challenges.

“As colleges across Scotland merge and form new organisations, their marketeers must continue to promote courses and make communities aware of everything their local college does.

“The standard of entries we received is testament to the skill and drive that marketing teams in colleges across Scotland display, as well as their creativity and innovation.
